YOUR 5 STEP RECOVERY PLAN

1. mope
go ahead,put on comfy sweats,then make this promise to yourself:
"i'm going to give myself five days to watch crappy movies,eat icecream,and feel heartbroken"
Then i'm going to start feeling better." Telling yourself you'll get through this gives you,not him,control of your feelings.

2. IGNORE HIM
talking to him might seem helpful ( i just want to hear his voice!), but it only reopens the wound. So delete his number,unfriend him on facebook/friendster/or multiply, and take the hallway route that doesn't pass his locker. (You can try to befriends later,after you've move on.)

3. Clean Up
Get rid of anything that reminds you of him. If you can't bear to trash it for good,give it to a friend,so you don't have to see it on daily basis. (She can give it back when you both agree you're over him.) If you have stuff which he needs back,ask her to return it for you.

4. Stay Busy
Pinpoint the times you miss him the most (do you still listen for that last text before you fall asleep?) and fill them with something else: Reread twilight,listen to paramore,whatever. if you keep yourself distracted,the sadness will eventually fade on it's own.

5. Flirt
While you don't want to jump into anything while you're still getting over your ex,flirting with new guys is a great way to keep your mind off your heartache. Start by asking a cute guy friend to take you to dinner. Even a non-date will remind you there are good guys out there!
